From a young age, Kate has been chasing the thrill of performing on stage. Elementary school piano lessons and a humble beginning in the ensemble of The Sound of Music sparked a lifelong commitment to the performing arts. Throughout her education, Kate could be found in shows both in and out of school, taking dance class, piano lessons, playing in bands and orchestras, creating and directing student ensembles, and singing showtunes around the piano with friends every weekend. Her high school superlative was, of course, “Most Musical.” Kate’s college years were spent honing her craft in performance halls, practice rooms, and rehearsal studios.

With her vast musical training, Kate brings a special blend of vocals, instrumentals, arranging, and orchestrating to the rehearsal room and in performance. She does not simply sing a song from the page; she creates fresh arrangements that string together lyrics and melodies in new ways, often adding key changes and updating piano accompaniments. Her musical ear, combined with her vocal technique, make her an ideal ensemble member in the rehearsal room and in performance. She comes to life through the creative process and brings a joyful spirit and love for the work both onstage and off.
